EKU GOV Weekly Report: Week 6
Adjourning with an hour of daylight remaining on the 26th day of session is something of a rarity, but the legislature did just that on their last working day this week. The House, which has maintained a furious pace since day one, concluded its business after just one hour on Wednesday, freeing its members to return home for a five-day recess before reconvening next Tuesday for the first of two Concurrence Days. The Senate has had an equally productive session, but its members seldom engage in the lengthy floor discussions and vote explanations that slow the process of their House counterparts.
